Another fabulous memory and experience from our trip was, of course, my friend’s wedding, which was the primary reason for the trip.

I have known the bride, Michelle, since high school, so being a part of her special day meant a great deal.

Michelle has a great sense of style which was greatly reflected in each and every detail of the wedding. She chose super cute coral pencil skirts, cream lace tops and nude heels for the bridesmaids, which was the perfect attire for that destination setting. And she, of course, looked stunning in her flowey, open back dress.

While I am a sucker for weddings and tend to get emotional, seeing both the bride and groom choke through their vows was incredibly touching and powerful, especially since the bride is normally a hard-ass. 🙂 She knows it.

The reception was a great time, and was held under a tent right in front of the beach and the bride and groom surprised us all with a very well put together choreographed dance.

During the reception we ate amazing food, danced our buns off and I even did something I have never done in my life!

I crashed another wedding!

There were two weddings at the site that day, and from the get-go we each clearly noticed the other. About half-way through my friend’s wedding, The Hubby and I went to use the restroom and I don’t know what came over me, but I suddenly found myself running over to the other wedding, located right in front of the restrooms, and gettin’ low on the dance floor! Because of my bridesmaid attire, I was noticed right away. I wasn’t sure how I would be received, but luckily it was with open arms! In fact, the bride’s mother was all over me! The Hubby soon joined me on the dance floor, and he even came with drinks in hand… from their bar!

After a few songs, pictures and good laughs, we made our way back. I ended up bumping into the mother-of-the-bride and some of the bridal party later that night and not only did they remember my name, but they welcomed us into their room to use the restroom and stay for a beverage. So nice!

All in all, a great wedding with wonderful people, and a top memory from our Maui vacation. 🙂
