Our friends are coming to town this week to visit and WE ARE SO EXCITED! I met my pal, Kristin, in college and we have been going strong ever since. And of course it is just amazing that our husbands have also become friends, as well as our kiddos, so it is just such a good time when we all get together.
So, this week I want to prepare some of our favorites, as well as some of their favorites, but also know that plans can change easily while out and about, and I am okay with that!
So, here is what I have planned for the week.
Monday
Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers
I bought all of the ingredients for these last week, and then we ended up eating some leftovers, so with a beautiful pineapple waiting on my counter we shall have this tonight, instead.

I think this night we may either go out or pick something up since our friends get in this day

Taco Bowl with Avocado Lime Dressing
I add chicken and black beans to this and leave out the rice and it is a fave! Our kiddos prefer the ingredients separate, but for the adults we put them in a bowl all together and YUM!

Crispy Slow Cooker Carnitas (Mexican Pulled Pork)
One of my friends’ go-to meals for her family is carnitas, so I perused Pinterest until this recipe caught my eye. The first trigger for this being the “chosen one” was the word “Crispy.” That just did it for me. Then throw in “Slow Cooker” and you have won me over.
