Hello!
I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving and ate tons and tons of yummy leftovers! But, now aren’t you ready for something new? Well this week we are trying some new flavors that I am pretty excited about!
Side note- Did anyone try the recipes from last week? The salmon… delish! The crockpot chicken with butternut squash, pears and cranberries…not our fave! In fact, for the first time ever we pushed out plates aside and ordered a pizza. I stopped cooking mine two hours early and the chicken was still SO overdone, the butternut squash was like baby food, the pears were tasteless and the cranberries were bitter. Did anyone else try this one and have success?! I was so bummed because it was BEAUTIFUL!
Anyway, on Menu Planning Monday I will be sharing with you what I plan on making for dinner each week while trying to choose recipes that are healthy, budget-friendly and use similar items. And most importantly, that are simple! I am not one to choose recipes with twenty ingredients and eighteen steps. Simple, simple, simple! And if I can use the crock-pot, even better!
My hope is that you too will share your favorite recipes and we will all be rock stars in the kitchen and our loved ones will be kissing our feet.
Sound good?
Great!
Before we start, though, I want to state that I have NOT tried all of the recipes that I will be posting so if it doesn’t turn out don’t come knockin’ on my door. Mmmk? I will provide all of the original sources for each meal as well share any alterations I have made/will be making for our own family as mere suggestions.
AND, the best part, I have provided the shopping list for all ingredients at the bottom in a printable for you! AND have left extra space so you can fill in the rest of your shopping list. AND it’s in order by how I navigate through the store so there is no backtracking.
Booyah! All high-fives welcome!
Side note- I am not always great at planning side dishes, so you’re on your own, there.
Here we go!
Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday
Slow Cookier Jalapeno Popper Chicken Taquitos

Friday
Slow Cooker Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes
Saturday and Sunday we will be having leftovers.
Here is the shopping list! Grocery List 3
Thanks for stopping by!
This recipe is one of my favorites – I double the chicken amount and I use chicken tenders (smaller pieces so flavor penetrates the chicken more). I serve with tons of veggies and brown rice (like a teriyake chicken bowl)

I also love this one – the chicken is so good! We’ll make tacos the first night, then use leftovers for salads.
