Anti-Inflammatory Tonic

March 1, 2026

I kept seeing this wellness drink all over my feed, everyone swearing by it, sharing their routines, and talking about how good it made them feel, so naturally, I had to give it a try for myself.

This recipe is from Lulu Jordon, you can find her here.

The Recipe

Makes 7-10 servings (final amount depends on how juicy your lemons are and how much liquid is lost in straining)

Ingredients:

  • 4 organic lemons with skin on (if not organic cut the skin off)
  • 4-6 inches of organic ginger (use less if you’re not used to ginger/spice)
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 4 cups of filtered water
  • Either 1 big knob of fresh turmeric or 1 tsp powdered turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Add everything to a high powered blender, blend on high until smooth.
  2. Pour through a metal strainer to strain out pulp. Using cheesecloth would also be a great option to get the liquid out.
  3. Mix 2-3oz with warm water and 1/4 tsp sea salt, you can also add some more honey to your mug if you want.
  4. Drink on an empty stomach for optimal benefits.
  5. Store in a mason jar or air tight bottle, store in the fridge for up to 7 days.

Benefits:

Lemons support the liver with vitamin C and detox benefits—helping hormones and skin.

Extra virgin olive oil provides antioxidants, fights inflammation, boosts good cholesterol, and protects the liver.

Ginger aids digestion, reduces bloating, supports immunity, and lowers inflammation.

Raw honey is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and may ease seasonal allergies (especially local honey).

Turmeric + black pepper add an extra anti-inflammatory boost.

I love finding simple ways to be a little more intentional about wellness. I have taken this as a shot as well as mixed with hot water. If you’ve been seeing this drink all over your feed too, maybe this is your sign to try it for yourself! Let me know what you think if you do!

Thanks again to Lulu Jordon for sharing this recipe! You can find her blog here.
