The Most Recommended Family-Friendly Movies

August 21, 2021

One of my FAVORITE things to do with our kids is to watch movies that I enjoyed from my childhood as I LOVE seeing how they react to these movies and being a part of their first experience. Last night as we were watching Beethoven, I asked my buddies on Instagram what their favorite non-animated family-friendly movies are, and the list below contains the majority of those answers. I may have missed a few but I hope this list is helpful for you the next time you want to sit down to a good family flick. Many of these I had forgotten about and now look forward to, and many I actually have never seen, so thank you for the recommendations!

  1. Somewhere in the 90’s.

Reading this list. I’m realizing how much harder it is to find a good family friendly movie that’s been put out in our present day. That goes hand in hand with family friendly tv sitcoms…it’s sad

  2. 89!! 😬 That’s so many movies!!! 😂 Our family also loves Bringing Up Baby. It’s a cute and funny black and white movie with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.

  3. I’ve seen 76! Love this list – thank you for compiling! Another one I thought of is Baby Boom. Love that one w/ Diane Keaton.
