Our Kids’ Favorite Books

September 16, 2020

I shared not too long ago on Instagram how my oldest son grew a love for reading over the past year and how ever since he always seems to have a book in his hand. Many asked to know what books the kids have loved, so I gathered a list of their very favorites, or at least the ones I can remember! As the list grows, I will add to it, too!

Our oldest son didn’t find a love for reading until he was seven. He enjoyed being read to, for the most part, but reading anything on his own was a struggle. Until….. we started the Dogman series. He started reading one of these books daily (on his own!) and I was having a hard time getting books in his hands fast enough. He has since moved on to other series and will finish every book in the series before wanting to go to the next. I think it just takes finding the right books to spark that love!

  1. James Patterson had great kids series. My kids loved his Treasure Hunt series.

Then my oldest liked a series called Amulet I think, not sure who it was by.

And The Last Kids on Earth series.
