The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays due to its simplicity. There is no planning for months, no shopping for gifts, and no STRESS. For us, it just means relaxing on the lake with family, eating tasty food, and a lot of water sports.

Because this holiday usually involves food, I have rounded up some of the tastiest breakfast, snack, meal and dessert ideas that are sure to please any crowd. Enjoy!

Breakfast Ideas

1. Patriotic Waffles

3. Berry Skewer Flag

This was SUPER simple to assemble and put a huge smile on our kids’ faces a few years ago. Perfect for breakfast, or anytime, really. I think I used three bananas, two packages of strawberries and less than one package of blueberries.

13. Oven Baked Ribs

I bought ribs on a whim this week while at Costco and cooked them according to this recipe. I didn’t make the sauce that this recipe uses, but think they would be even better than they were with it. I followed the directions and then just used the BBQ sauce that I had on-hand. Fall-off-the-bone good! And super easy to make if entertaining.

15. Crispy Slow Cooker Carnitas

This recipe is delicious. SO, so good. I don’t add any of the peppers due to being a wimp, so know that they’re good without, too.

  1. These look delightful! I really want to try the 7 layer dip, ribs, chicken kebabs, carnitas, candy bark. Ok, I basically want to try everything. So many cute ideas that our red, white, and blue. I love 4th of July!

  2. I’m loving all of these ideas!! One year I made vodka cherry bombs. I soaked cherries in vanilla vodka, and then dipped them into white chocolate and then blue sprinkles.
