Get ready for cuteness overload.
Baby Cal turned 9 months old last week and still remains the sweetest, most lovable and smiley baby.
Shoe size: Hmm, you know the kid hasn’t worn many shoes yet. I just am not sure on this one.
Weight: Approximately 22-23 pounds
Height: Hum. He has his 9 month checkup when we return home from Nevada, so I am just not sure on that one either right now.
His eyes are blue.
And he is an observer, studying the scene before checking it all out.
The most challenging thing about him right now is changing his diaper. He immediately wants to barrel roll so keeping him on his back has proven quite the challenge.
Distraction is key. And a little arm power.
His sweet little (actually, big) eyes will melt your heart.
Favorite foods: Umm… anything? The kid is a machine. I think we will be poor from having a garbage disposal of a son. His least favorite food seems to be a banana though. If I HAD to choose…
Loves to pull himself up onto things and walk around using various objects as stability.
Knocking over towers of blocks is hilarious to him
He enjoys playing with his sister’s doll house… shhhhh, keep that on the DL.
He got his first fever on the day after we arrived at my parents’ house for the holidays. 103.5. That earned him a trip to the emergency room where we spent a nice 3.5 hours in the waiting area.
But after a shot of Motrin it went down and he was okay.
His bedtime is between 7-7:15 pm and he gets up between 7:15-7:30 am. Sleeps in a Sleepsack with a sound machine and he’s good to go. Naps from approximately 9-10:30 am and 1:30-3:00 pm.
He still thinks his Dad banging his head on the wall is hilarious.
He’s wearing about 12 month clothing and 12-18 month pajamas.
While he still eats some baby mush, he prefers the “good stuff” like waffles, green bean pieces, spaghetti, etc. in its whole form.
He wears a size 4 diaper…already.
His hair is to-die-for.
It’s fuzzy and thick and goes wherever it wants to.
His favorite toy at the moment is a walker he received for Christmas. He just loves pushing that thing around.
He absolutely adores his sister.
She is pretty fond of him, too, though now that he is old enough to start taking her toys, he has probably dropped on her priority list a notch or two.
Gwyn calls him Cal-VIN!
Nicknames include Cal, Baby Cal, Cal Pal, Cal Cal, Cal-VIN, Calvie
And since Cal got his own little photo shoot, Miss Gwyn was all up for it being “her turn” afterward.
I wasn’t expecting to be in any of these, but they were both still doing great so the photographer snapped a few.
And he still prefers his Mama.
Which I do love.
That concludes the little update on Baby Cal. We hope you have a happy Wednesday!
