Hubby: “I’ll have a decaf, sugar-free vanilla, soy, blended latte.”
Girl behind the counter overhearing order from man’s voice: “Really!?!?!?”
Hubby: “Uhh, it’s for my wife.”
A few minutes go by…
Barista: “ONE DECAF, SUGAR-FREE VANILLA, SOY, BLENDED LATTE!!!
Patrons: Looking around aimlessly for the culprit.
Hubby: Walking up to the counter with diverted eyes… “……Thanks.”
Drive home
Hubby walks in the door with decaf, sugar-free vanilla, soy, blended latte in-hand and witnesses wife with baby strapped to front while preparing dinner and toddler yelling “All done!!!” while forks and bibs start flying.
Wife: HUGE SMILE. “Thank you, Love. Seriously, thank you.”
It really is the small things. Totally brightened my mood that The Hubby randomly brought home my favorite drink from my favorite coffee shop, knowing that it’s a pretty embarrassing order.
