I may have gone a little overboard with the first day of preschool pictures, but with the outfit she was wearing I just couldn’t help myself!

I have been drooling over this dress for quite a while now after I saw it on Pinterest and my mom went ahead and surprised Gwyn (okay, me) with it for her first day of school.

Yep, I was pretty ecstatic. I just absolutely love the avian print and this dress is made from designer cotton fabric
and features an elastic neckline and shirred sleeves for easy wear.

I originally thought Gwyn would wear boots with this dress, but since it is still warm  out my mom completed the look by contacting Kelly over at Little Scoots after seeing an adorable pair of shoes on her Facebook page, and she custom designed a special pair of shoes to coordinate with the dress! And once complete, Kelly even named them “Gwyneth Scoots!” You have no IDEA how excited I was when I received these in the mail!

These insanely adorable “scoots” are made from high quality herringbone tweed wool, are lined in a soft cotton canvas, are double-stitched for durability, have a waterproof sole and are adorned with two satin flowers.

All scoots also come in their own cotton drawstring bag for safekeeping and include a matching satin hair clip.

After our little photo session our Gwyn was ready to get to school.

And yes, I was THAT mom taking pictures along the way.

Gwyn said she had the BEST day and told me all about how her job at school was to feed the fish. Apparently that was a big deal and she was darn proud of it!

After school we went and grabbed lunch and had a picnic in the park. Of course I couldn’t resist her cuteness and grabbed a few more shots of her in her first-day-of-school outfit. This outfit would be perfect for picture day at school or any special occasion and I plan to have her in it as much as possible!
