Yesterday, I revealed our home exterior makeover, (go HERE to see the before and after photos) and I knew I would be getting a lot of questions about our house numbers (and letters) so I thought I would go into a little more detail today!
I never used to pay much attention to the numbers on a house until I recently realized these can actually be a statement piece and not just be a piece of information.
Once I figured out that I wanted to dress our house numbers up a bit, I set out on a hunt for some unique numbers. I soon realized, though, that these custom metal numbers came with a pretty high price tag. So when I came across Go Home Numbers on Etsy, I was confused as to why their prices were so reasonable compared to other shops online. Their work looked professional and really nice, and it wasn’t until I realized this shop uses a high-density plastic for their work that it all made sense. They are able to keep the prices down by using this material, yet they still look exactly like our old metal numbers. Except, better with the modern touches.
One thing that I especially loved was that I was able to order a custom font. I gave Teresa and Spencer, the owners, some examples of the type of font I was looking for and they absolutely nailed it. We wanted something classic; almost like a font one might find on an old library.
Our new numbers and letters arrived really quickly and with pre-drilled holes and the right hardware, these were really easy to hang, too. Go Home Numbers have been doing this for a long time now and have figured out all of the kinks making it really easy for the homeowner.
And friends, I just LOVE how different they are! If you’ve got a little space on your home where something like this might work, I urge you to go for it! We have gotten so many compliments on them and they’ve only been hung for a few days!
For reference, our house letters are 3″ tall, and our house numbers are 7″ tall.
And if you can go big, I say the bigger the better! They can make such a statement. Check out their Etsy site and website below for all of their sizing options; you’ll be surprised by just how many options there are.
I have searched high and low for unique, noteworthy house numbers, and friends, I found them. These are affordable, give the look I am going for, and come from a reliable, friendly company that was super easy to work with.
