My husband and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary TODAY and booked a very last minute getaway to Mexico!
Since we got engaged in Mexico, we decided it would be really fun to go back, but the town we got engaged in, Sayulita, is apparently in its monsoon season, so we decided on taking our trip to Cabo instead.
And when we get back, I will definitely be doing a highlights post of the trip, so stay tuned! Until then, a little flashback…
I know a lot of people say their wedding day was one of the best days of their lives, and I am one of those people, too. Our day was truly so very perfect and emotions were running HIGH all around us.
I was the bride who cried walking down the aisle. I was just SO overcome with joy and the moment I saw my guy at the end of the aisle waiting for me, I just lost it.
We got married in Lake Tahoe surrounded by trees and the lake and our pastor did such a good job with the ceremony that the tears were just everywhere. People who I thought couldn’t produce tears were crying and it just felt very powerful. And the way my soon-to-be husband looked into my eyes during it all just felt so comforting.
And the fun. Man, we just had so much fun at our wedding dancing the night away until 2 am. It was perfection.
