We started off the morning with our favorite game, Backgammon. The kids have begun playing with us, rolling the dice and it is a game that has been in The Hubby’s family for many years. We hope to keep the tradition alive!
And then not long after, Gwyn hit a major milestone! And we were all pumped for her the rest of the day.
After naps we went to the fair.
I love the fair.
I LOVE THE FAIR.
The greasy food, high-calorie treats, expensive games, long lines and stinky animals.
I love it all!
And now sharing the once-a-year tradition with our littles makes for just about as perfect of an evening as I can get.
Since it was so hot, the first thing we did was get snow cones. Naturally.
And then some dinner. It’s never healthy. It’s overly-priced. But it’s once a year, right?
And of course, dessert. We all shared this goody, though trying to sneak bites past Cal proved a little difficult.
Then came the games. And while I know these are SUCH a waste of money, we all just love them.
Winner!
Could you put a price on this face? This little guy was BEYOND happy to receive the ninja turtle his daddy won for him.
Before we knew it, it was getting late. We did manage to go on a couple of rides, though. Gwyn asked to hold my hand down the entire slide and I gladly accepted.
And we left, prizes in hand, wishing it wasn’t over.
Until next year!
Thanks for stopping by!
