What I wore Wednesday

This week I (a little embarrassingly) decided to do a what I wore Wednesday.

Once I became a mom it became a little more difficult for me to get “dressed” each day. The easy, most comfortable outfit is the staple yoga pant and t-shirt combo, which I still frequent often, but after a while of feeling sluggish and “blah” I decided to start putting a little more effort into myself.

The Hubby and I went to a wedding recently(with warm weather!) and below is what I wore that weekend, actually getting myself “done up!’

For the rehearsal dinner…

This whole outfit (excluding the necklace)  is from Nordstrom during their annual sale, but most of it is still there and some still on sale!

Tank– BP-Love this tank, wear it all the time. Want more like it. When washed normally it didn’t shrink up to nothing, which is fantastic since I am SO not a careful launderer.

Track pants (poofy pants)- WAYF-I mustered up the courage to wear these “poofy pants” that I originally bought for my ten-year reunion but never ended up wearing. These are SO out of my comfort zone and I would have never even tried them on in the store had it not been for the department store hound who was giving me a hand, ultimately convincing me that I needed to buy these. Since I succumbed to her forces I decided I had better get some use out of them before I felt super guilty.When trying these pants on the “stylist” at Nordstrom kept hiking them up. Apparently I am not “hip” enough to know where to wear these on my waist, but I tried my best, wearing them lower than she would have approved, but comfortable for my own taste. These are currently 50% off!

Heels– Halogen– I do not have many pairs of heels. At all. But when I slipped my feet into these, they just worked. And I felt sassy. I never buy sassy heels, but I did that time! Man, that lady really got me!

Necklace– Mint chevron from Sassy Steals- an online discount site.

While Nordstrom is not somewhere I shop often, I do LOVE their return policy! The shirt I originally bought to go with the poofy pants shrunk so small it could have fit Gwyneth, and they took it back almost four months later! No tags, no receipt!

Riding Boots-from Macy’s- Etienne Aigner– I LOVE these boots! I probably wear them most often because they go with just about anything!

Necklace–Jenny Masa on Etsy– One of my favorite necklaces and I receive compliments on it all the time. I originally bought it to go with a bridesmaid outfit and have worn it numerous times since! This seller has gorgeous jewelry for VERY reasonable prices. Check her out!

And let me tell you, it feels GOOD to dress up! No spit stains, no food chunks, no milk splatters. CLEAN!
