This past weekend was jam-packed full of many of my favorite things. It started with a ton of burlap, crafty goodness. A couple friends and I manned a booth with a strong burlap theme and we had a great time! I loved spending time with those ladies.
I couldn’t help but buy a few things, too! Tons of cute stuff!
I really wanted these deer, but didn’t pull the trigger. I think I am going to be a little obsessed with deer this Christmas season.
These handmade dolls made me swoon. She can custom make a doll to look just like your child. I am thinking of having one made for Gwyn using something she wore as an infant, or maybe her receiving blanket.
I’d also love a window mirror for our Christmas mantle. Sigh….
I DID buy our family this wooden nativity set and am so excited about it! Not the best picture, but it is something that looks classy yet can be played without fear.
I also bought myself a handmade scarf because these were all so cute! And I love scarves, so this was a given.
The very next morning we woke up bright and early and hit the road for Portland to meet our nephew! He is perfect in every way and let us all cuddle on him fulfilling all of our baby-squishing desires.
While there, my brother and sister-in-law were in charge of decorating a room for an “Around the World” house warming party. They chose “Mexico” for their room, so while my sister-in-law and I set out to get party supplies, the boys took the kids on a fun outing.
And that evening we went to the party and stayed until the kiddos lost their marbles; about 7:30.
One of my favorite little touches were these individual seven layer bean dip cups.
We also picked up some authentic bread loaves and candies, which we filled in little baggies as a favor.
The next morning we took the kiddos to the park to blow off some energy before hitting the road.
And on our way home we stopped at the Mercantile, our favorite stop, and picked up a couple of treats for the road.
And yes, after seven hours in the car one kid was missing his pants and a shoe. But we survived.
Thanks for stopping by!
Haha I love your little guy in his diaper! That happens here quite often when were at home all day!
Oh it definitely happens around here if we are home all day, Elda! With all those diaper changes, it’s hard to keep those pants on!
