The gorgeously vintage wedding of two of our best friends

October 15, 2013

Last week The Hubby  and I took a (kidless!) trip to San Diego to help celebrate two of our best friends uniting as one. We were there less than three days but it was such a beautiful, fun and memorable trip and I can’t help but share these (non-professional phone) pictures, mostly displaying the gorgeousness of the entire wedding.

It was an absolutely stunning space perfectly decorated that made me want to get married all over again.

The bridal suite itself was jaw-dropping and this was where we did our finishing touches.

The wedding grounds were almost too much to take in. Everywhere you looked was another elegant, special and unique touch that made the place almost magical.

Chandeliers were everywhere, a personal favorite of mine, and I absolutely loved them hanging from the trees.

The walkway leading into the ceremony gave me tingles. Everyone had to walk under a tunnel of trees, plants and bushes lit with twinkly lights before emerging into a garden of luscious greenery.

There was a photo booth, and of course those are always a good time.

Later into the night The Hubby grabbed my hand and lead me away from the party into the dark where the ceremony was held. Coincidentally, one of The Hubby’s friend’s was over there, who happened to be ordained, and he ran up to the front of the alter and The Hubby and I walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm and full of giggles, to the front where we held our own little ceremony. It was very sweet and thoughtful of The Hubby to pull me aside for such a special little moment.

The next morning we slept in, which felt incredible, before we walked down to the pier and had a ginormous breakfast.

The rest of the day we played by the pool and had a friends and family BBQ that evening before getting up at 5:30 the next morning to catch our flight.

This trip was great for so many reasons. Two of our best friends FINALLY ( 😉 ) got married and we were blessed to be a part of that special day. And this trip allowed The Hubby and I to connect and spend time with one another without any interruptions.

It was great.
