For the Fourth of July this year we are spending a few days at the coast with our family. While I dread the drive, I look forward to relaxing with our loved ones, eating delicious food and seeing the world through our children’s eyes as they experience the ocean for the first time.
We are staying at a quaint little house right on the beach where the sand cannot reach our toes fast enough.
I have never really made any sort of special treats for the fourth, but this year I decided to make a few fun things that will add to the occasion including these waffle cones filled with a healthy festive treat, stuffed Fourth of July berries and a fruit kebab american flag. I changed the “healthy” snack filled cones and added a little festive touch, though. Who knows, maybe these will end up filled with something not-so-healthy.
