Baby Cal turned one last Friday.
ONE!
Already!? It’s just a little hard to take in.
I feel like I was just welcoming our little man into the world and now he’s a “toddler.” I still don’t like the sound of that.
I think I could go on a little tangent right about now, but in keeping with tradition on his monthly updates I will put that aside and carry on.
Baby Cal… is a ladies man. He lights up around the females and melts their tender little hearts with his gorgeous eyes and shy smile.
His favorite toy right now is undoubtedly a ball. He loves to throw balls. Any size. Any shape. He loves to put them in things and play catch. After that I would say he loves cars and trucks.
He is wearing size 18 month clothing, size 4 diapers and size a 4 shoe.
He is officially a full-time walker. The little man is all over the place. And when he is tired, he sucks his thumb. It’s actually getting quite raw. Anyone have a solution for that?
He cuddles. Ohhhhhhhhh he cuddles. And I LOOOOOOVE it.
His favorite foods are cheese, lasagna, grapes, Hawaiian sweet rolls, oatmeal, peas, soups, grilled cheese, and pretty much anything except he doesn’t really care for Cheerios or strawberry bits, though pureed is fine.
He enjoys pushing chairs, laundry hampers, or anything that will move around the house.
Can you resist that face?
I didn’t think so.
No new teeth this month.
The most challenging part about Cal right now is when he gets hungry, you’d better find food fast. And changing him can be difficult as well if he’d rather be doing something else.
He loves to dance! When the music is turned on he immediately shakes his groove thing. It’s adorable and quite fun to watch.
Oh! And he LOVES to read books. He will go to the book corner, find his favorite one and drag it across the room and sit himself in my lap, handing me the book. And he will sit there, quite contently, listening to the story. This makes me melt.

Can you tell I am still in disbelief?
We are so incredibly thankful, blessed and lucky to be parents to such a sweet, cuddly and strong little boy.
Right after these pictures were taken we decided he was ready for his first haircut. We were starting to have to tuck it behind his ears and it was doing something funky in the back, so it was time. Pictures to come tomorrow!
