When we marry our loved one, we vow to love one another forever. We vow to love through the good times and the bad, and in sickness and in health. We vow to become united as one.
And on November 27th, 1951, these two love birds did just that.
Gorgeous, right?
This beautiful, strong, sassy woman vowed to love her husband forever, not just “until death do us part.”
She and her husband enjoyed forty-seven marvelous years together. They worked together on the farm, they traveled together to all fifty states, and they stuck by each other’s side through it all before she lost him to cancer.
But she continued to love.
She went on, bringing joy and love to many others. Experiencing all of life’s beauty. Making new friends. Cherishing the old. Loving her two children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
But she wanted to be back with her love.
So after a wonderful life, on November 27th, 2012, she did just that.
She joined her husband on what would have been their 61st wedding anniversary.
She went “home.”
We miss you.
We love you.
