For a while, actually.<br \/>\nAnd that is whether or not we should have another baby.<br \/>\nBefore we ever had babies, The Hubby and I always pictured our future with three to four children. We both loved the thought of a big family with lots of commotion, laughter and love. I come from a pretty small family with one sibling, whom I love dearly, but I was always envious of those bigger families. \u00a0The Hubby comes from a family with two brothers, he being the middle child, and he loves it. One thing he said he would change if he could would be to have his younger brother a bit closer in age. They are four years apart, making their lives pretty different growing up. Now, the difference isn&#8217;t very noticeable.<br \/>\nWhen we found out we were having a girl during our first pregnancy, I was through the roof. I cried so many happy tears. I knew I always wanted a girl at some point in our lives and to have one first took that pressure off.<br \/>\nWhen Gwyneth turned a year old The Hubby and I both just knew it was time to add to the family. It felt right. We were both ready. We couldn&#8217;t wait. We wanted our babes two years apart in school and made it happen.<br \/>\nAnd unexpectedly, we were blessed with a boy. I was SO surprised by this as I just assumed we would have two girls, that I again cried so many happy tears.I grew up in a family of all girls and that&#8217;s the way I knew life.<br \/>\nSo finding \u00a0out we were really having a boy seemed all too perfect.<br \/>\nAfter that things changed for us a little bit. We had one of each. We were blessed with experiencing what it would be like to raise a girl and a boy.<br \/>\nAnd once we realized how hard it is to actually raise these giblets, we started to ponder&#8230;<em>maybe we are done?<\/em> <em>Maybe this is our family? And then I am left with no babies during the day&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd then there&#8217;s the time issue; can The Hubby and I make enough for more than the two we already have? Will anyone feel left out?<br \/>\nAnd everything seems to be made for a family of four, as a friend pointed out. Cars. Hotel rooms. Booths in restaurants. Sure, things can easily be adjusted, I know this.<br \/>\nBut maybe the added love, companionship and fullness of another child will outweigh all of that.<br \/>\nI was never one of those mothers who <em>knew<\/em> right away after having a second that I was done. \u00a0Some are certain of it and just know their family is complete.<br \/>\nThis was not me.<br \/>\nI also think that if I were one of these people, I would have cherished my last pregnancy a little more, knowing it was the last time. I would have cherished the laboring \u00a0process (as much as one can) a little more. Those long nights of no sleep and exhaustion may have been a little more durable knowing it was the last time. Maybe I wouldn&#8217;t have wanted to &#8220;get through&#8221; those days as quickly if I knew it were the last.<br \/>\nThere are SO many variables to consider!<br \/>\nSo here are my questions:<br \/>\nIf you don&#8217;t have kids yet or are a young family&#8230;<br \/>\nHow many are in \u00a0your family? Were you happy with the number? Did you ever wish it were different?<br \/>\nIf you have an established family&#8230;<br \/>\nDid you know for sure when you were done? Do you ever wish you had more? If you did have more than two, what made you decide to have more?<br \/>\nThank you in advance for any and all input!
