The way to my man’s heart is definitely through his tummy. So, for Valentines Day I made him homemade Snickers, and let me tell you… he was through. the. roof. He couldn’t believe I had made such a thing and that they “actually taste just like a Snickers!”

Big smile!

And while a little time consuming, they really weren’t too hard! When I came across the inspiration for these tantalizing treats from a picture on Pinterest, I knew this would be the treat for my man.

Here is the original recipe, and below is the recipe I made with a few slight changes:

Makes one 9×13 pan

2 1/2 cups of milk chocolate chips- Used in 2 parts Directions: 3.) Crush peanuts!

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add in sugar and evaporated milk, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

      Top Chocolate Layer
3/4 cup peanut butter (I used Reduced Fat)- Used in 3 parts
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups Marshmallow Fluff
1 1/2 cups salted peanuts, roughly chopped
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 14-ounce bag of caramels (I used three smaller bags of caramels, as Walmart didn’t have one large bag)
1/4 cup whipping cream

1.) Thoroughly grease your baking pan

2.) Melt 1 1/4 cups of chocolate chips with 1/4 cup of peanut butter. You can do this in a saucepan over the stove, or in the microwave. I chose the microwave and melted the ingredients on high for 30 second intervals, stirring in-between each interval. Evenly spread the mixture on the bottom of the baking dish and let cool and completely harden.
