cream proved WAY more fun than playing with the already proportioned out.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-EqGrXz0igc0\/UFtOEYl4TmI\/AAAAAAAAE-s\/yye0MD660Vo\/s1600\/DSC06700.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-EqGrXz0igc0\/UFtOEYl4TmI\/AAAAAAAAE-s\/yye0MD660Vo\/s320\/DSC06700.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>And this is where I realized I didn&#8217;t mix in the colors very well and the majority of the food coloring was still on the spoons, therefore ending up on all clothing<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-svDZsK97dXE\/UFtOPglWSsI\/AAAAAAAAE-0\/BVbt7AkQo30\/s1600\/DSC06703.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-svDZsK97dXE\/UFtOPglWSsI\/AAAAAAAAE-0\/BVbt7AkQo30\/s320\/DSC06703.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>And Gwyn then discovered, &#8220;hey, this is fun to wipe on myself&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-DHt8VMvpWAw\/UFtObAY6WqI\/AAAAAAAAE-8\/rweP4ETL0QU\/s1600\/DSC06706.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-DHt8VMvpWAw\/UFtObAY6WqI\/AAAAAAAAE-8\/rweP4ETL0QU\/s320\/DSC06706.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>And all over the yard&#8230;<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-vDIp-k3wowc\/UFtOmICysHI\/AAAAAAAAE_E\/PVOQaIsIOzs\/s1600\/DSC06707.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>And squishing between little toes..is incredible.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-DrBTXKZMWzA\/UFtOz1cVySI\/AAAAAAAAE_M\/uka8otTeFC8\/s1600\/DSC06708.JPG\"><img \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>After her clothes were doused in colored goodness, I decided it was time to remove clothing. This is when Cal decided to wake up from his nap, so in I went to get him, and while I was inside Gwyn took the opportunity to lather herself up.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-KXvzBbHd4eY\/UFtPALSU2aI\/AAAAAAAAE_U\/b-Xpy1m0l_k\/s1600\/DSC06710.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-KXvzBbHd4eY\/UFtPALSU2aI\/AAAAAAAAE_U\/b-Xpy1m0l_k\/s320\/DSC06710.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-T_h1HhqUd60\/UFtPMXsIGYI\/AAAAAAAAE_c\/K93RiGZtjLs\/s1600\/DSC06711.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-T_h1HhqUd60\/UFtPMXsIGYI\/AAAAAAAAE_c\/K93RiGZtjLs\/s320\/DSC06711.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>While nursing Cal outside, Gwyn really went to town covering herself and anything else she could find; I think <i>knowing<\/i> my hands were tied.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-W0IpuDnGNfU\/UFtPYGmerwI\/AAAAAAAAE_k\/vc9rrayiawM\/s1600\/DSC06713.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-W0IpuDnGNfU\/UFtPYGmerwI\/AAAAAAAAE_k\/vc9rrayiawM\/s320\/DSC06713.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>She even went after the dogs and poor Sammy had pink paws for a few days after.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-iBxyezpkunE\/UFtPiQZtn2I\/AAAAAAAAE_s\/NnFDnWv5nCQ\/s1600\/DSC06715.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-iBxyezpkunE\/UFtPiQZtn2I\/AAAAAAAAE_s\/NnFDnWv5nCQ\/s320\/DSC06715.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-X_mCyCCY02g\/UFtPtqb0ZxI\/AAAAAAAAE_0\/oBss89Dkx28\/s1600\/DSC06716.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-X_mCyCCY02g\/UFtPtqb0ZxI\/AAAAAAAAE_0\/oBss89Dkx28\/s320\/DSC06716.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-kMtAMcN-afw\/UFtP4Y3s2SI\/AAAAAAAAE_8\/0-n3NDM9hgY\/s1600\/DSC06717.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-kMtAMcN-afw\/UFtP4Y3s2SI\/AAAAAAAAE_8\/0-n3NDM9hgY\/s320\/DSC06717.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Looking \u00a0over the shaving cream engulfed backyard, pink poochie paws and toddler\u00a0laden\u00a0with cream, I realized things were getting a little out of hand, so I quickly put Cal in the bouncy seat in the bathroom, then carried Gwyn through the house with my arms stretched in front of me, straight into the tub.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-4A_9tBLNZtU\/UFtQCmVH9FI\/AAAAAAAAFAE\/FxolMea87tc\/s1600\/DSC06718.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-4A_9tBLNZtU\/UFtQCmVH9FI\/AAAAAAAAFAE\/FxolMea87tc\/s320\/DSC06718.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Not before getting hit, though.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-UX4PdUARcbA\/UH1ATAzCZgI\/AAAAAAAAFe4\/tWUkOmM9uKA\/s1600\/IMAG0970.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-UX4PdUARcbA\/UH1ATAzCZgI\/AAAAAAAAFe4\/tWUkOmM9uKA\/s320\/IMAG0970.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>While my Type-A personality was on edge most of the time during this messy activity, I saw just how much fun Gwyn was having and just let it happen. And she had The BEST time.<\/p>\n<p>So, it was worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Notes for next time:<br \/>\n-Thoroughly mix colors beforehand, or just nix colors all together and give toddler a can of shaving cream.<br \/>\n-Put on play clothes or go nakey from the start<br \/>\n-Remove all animals from the area<br \/>\n-Start activity at the beginning of baby&#8217;s nap time so all grownup hands are available<br \/>\n-Get unscented shaving cream so backyard doesn&#8217;t smell like an old-time barber shop.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Tuesday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What started out as a fun, yet controlled outdoor activity turned into a little bit of mayhem rather quickly.
