Then, at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ladysmakesandbakes.blogspot.com\/2012\/06\/my-night-away-at-happiest-place-on.html\">Farm Chicks<\/a>\u00a0last year, a friend and I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.potterybarn.com\/products\/galvanized-metal-rivet-tiered-stand\/?pkey=e%7Cgalvanized%2Bthree%2Btier%7C25%7Cbest%7C0%7C1%7C24%7C%7C2&amp;cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH%7C%7CNoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-NoMerchRules-_-\">this<\/a>\u00a0galvanized three-tier holder from Pottery Barn, but I was not about to shell out $70 for it.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ladysmakesandbakes.blogspot.com\/2012\/03\/welcome-to-gwyneths-1st-birthday.html\">Gwyn&#8217;s first birthday<\/a>,\u00a0I made the cake plates by gluing spray painted plates to tea cups, candlesticks, and vases, so I figured I could do the same for a fruit bowl. I did a little Pinteresting for inspiration and came across <a href=\"http:\/\/thecraftingchicks.com\/2011\/05\/6955.html\">this<\/a>\u00a0picture, and from there it was a go.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And I must say, I love the finished product!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-i6a9QRlLD5Q\/UI9E-Pp_DtI\/AAAAAAAAFsY\/slt8pPmGhPQ\/s320\/DSC07357.JPG\" \/><\/div>\n<div>I bought two gold candlesticks from the thrift store and spray painted them a cream\/white. A primer was actually used first to ensure the paint would stick.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-XauR-djBOWw\/UI9DwYCtq4I\/AAAAAAAAFr4\/1Yj9H1NV1VA\/s1600\/DSC07348.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-XauR-djBOWw\/UI9DwYCtq4I\/AAAAAAAAFr4\/1Yj9H1NV1VA\/s320\/DSC07348.JPG\" width=\"320\" height=\"212\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I then bought some Gorilla Glue, which is what I used for the Cake Plates a few years ago, and while this stuff has a pretty strong hold, it does expand and leaves a white residue, so don&#8217;t use it for things where the glued area is visible. I don&#8217;t have a lot of experience with different types of glue, so if you can recommend another type that you prefer, let me know!<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-QEz7-1ibnkE\/UI9EFBDdVOI\/AAAAAAAAFsA\/sxp90u4pF3s\/s1600\/DSC07349.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-QEz7-1ibnkE\/UI9EFBDdVOI\/AAAAAAAAFsA\/sxp90u4pF3s\/s320\/DSC07349.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>I then got a set of old cake pans off of Ebay, and went to town! Make sure to glue one surface at a time and let it sit with a heavy object on top until firm. And ta-da!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-p0eTZ5D6zeM\/UI9HWNTmJDI\/AAAAAAAAFsw\/4keXpQem8dY\/s1600\/DSC07359.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-p0eTZ5D6zeM\/UI9HWNTmJDI\/AAAAAAAAFsw\/4keXpQem8dY\/s320\/DSC07359.JPG\" width=\"212\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>My new fruit stand!
