With Gwyn and Cal, we had their rooms complete by this time in the pregnancy, so not having done ANYTHING in this baby’s nursery has me feeling a little anxiety and guilt. But, because I have two very different visions for the room depending on whether we have a boy or a girl, I just don’t think I can do much but be patient and wait. What I CAN do is plan out what I would like each room to look like, though, so below are my inspiration pictures. Every one is under my Pinterest board “Nursery” so go there for the original sources if you are wondering where things are from AND to gawk at more amazing photos of these incredible spaces.

If we have a boy, I really like the look of a rustic, woodland theme. Our older son, Cal, has a vintage sports themed room, and that stemmed from the numerous athletes in the family that have passed down some special items. So, since my husband is also an arborist, I thought an outdoor themed room seemed fitting.

I would LOVE to wood-plank one of the walls to fit this theme, as shown here:

I really like items 7-10 in this photo (and that little squirrel!)

LOVE these

And little foxes? I would totally incorporate these into the room.

Those doors are swoon-worthy

Great sign, wall and deer head.

Love all the little details in this photo

And if we have a girl, I envision a totally floral, girly room, starting with a wall of some sort of fabulous floral wallpaper.

Love love love

Gorgeous chandelier

I also want to create a room that will grow with the baby. I love the crisp white walls against this wallpaper, and a bed can easily replace a crib under this adorable canopy,

While a little time-consuming to make all of these flowers, how cute are the results!?

Love these pillows
