Gwyn’s Pink and Gold Princess Birthday Party- Part 1

May 15, 2014

Gwyn’s Pink and Gold Princess 4th birthday party was nothing short of magical. Her favorite color being pink and her love for sparkle and shine created the color combo for this princess party and while I tried keeping the decor sophisticated, I still wanted the party to be fun for the little ones. Gwyn was one ecstatic little princess during the entire party, thus making my heart very happy.

And I can’t state enough how priceless it is to have amazing photos taken of something you’ve worked so hard on that depicts every little detail and angle so they can be enjoyed and remembered for years to come.

Stephanie from Shmily Face Photography not only captured every single little detail of the work that was done beforehand, but she captured moments that I had no idea took place. Moments that I missed while tending to our son.  Moments of sweet, pure bliss that as a mom just fill my love tank right up to the top. And for that, I am beyond grateful.

I had to split this post into two parts as I just couldn’t leave anything out! Stephanie did THAT good! So today you will see the food and decor, and tomorrow the guests, entertainment, and fun of the party, which was a HUGE HIT!! HEEEYOOGE! You will NOT want to miss it!

Minks Paperie created an amazing silhouette portrait of Gwyn to use as the focal point of the sweets table and I am still obsessing over it.

Silhouette portrait– Nina Mink from Minks Paperie. This portrait was such a treat to have as the focal point for the Sweets Table. Nina captured our Gwyn perfectly and this silhouette was not only gawked over at the party, but it will be cherished for years to come! Check out her Etsy shop here and her Facebook page here!

Custom favor boxes– Lori from Crazy Paper Love– Perfection. These favor boxes made the table extra special and while they held some fun favors inside for the children, they were just simply beautiful to look at. Lori sent pink crowns for the girls and gold crowns for the boys making each child’s place setting personal. Check out her Etsy shop here and Facebook page here!

Happy Birthday banner, straw flags, water bottle labels, Rice Krispie topper printable, treat bag labels, name cards and Princess Scratch Cards  – Lindsay from Inklings Paperie– Paper printables add SO much to a party! They add custom decor, serve a purpose being able to label things and the little pops of color everywhere really tie a party together. And the little scratch cards were such a fun little bonus! Check out her Etsy shop here and Facebook page here!

Individual cupcake stands, paper straws, treat bags, and golden crown keys- Kim and Julie from Outside the Box Papers– Once I saw the individual cupcake stands from this shop I knew I just HAD to have them. They were exactly what I was looking for and made me squeal in delight. Just perfect. The paper straws added a special touch and the bags allowed guests to take home some of the many treats with ease. And those keys! Such a special little favor for the kids. Pink and gold necklace– Jenny from Jenny MasaJenny’s pink and gold necklace is just beautiful and went with my coordinating outfit perfectly! Jenny’s necklaces are quality AND sturdy so I don’t fear little hands tearing them off. Check out her Etsy shop here!

White folding chairs-Event Rents – in previous years I have borrowed blue folding chairs from my father-in-law, and while I was extremely grateful, they just wouldn’t have worked for this party. The white folding chairs from Event Rents were perfect and helped tie the color scheme together beautifully. Plus, this company was so flexible with the times I needed for pickup and drop-off and accommodated all my needs. Check out their website here and their Facebook page here!

Baked goods- Made at home.

I highly recommend every single one of these Etsy shop and small business owners. They were quick to respond to questions, eager to create the perfect design and extremely sweet and kind.

The soft, feminine touches of this party have easily made it one of my favorites. Plus, I was able to use a lot of the decor in Gwyn’s room and I love how it looks in there! Post to come!

Come back tomorrow to see PART 2 of Gwyn’s princess party which includes all of the entertainment, guests and fun and I promise you, your little heart is going to swoon. There were two VERY special guests that Gwyn is still talking about.
